On October 8, 2024, the Cour des Comptes had the honor of hosting the first Constitutive General Assembly of Jurisai, the international organization that succeeded the Forum of Jurisdictional supreme audit institutions (SAIs), created in Paris in 2015, to ensure the promotion of the jurisdictional model and the strengthening of related professional standards and practices.

The French SAI presides Jurisai, the Portuguese SAI acts as First Vice-President, the Federal SAI of Brazil is Second Vice-President and President of the Finance, Administration and Communication Committee, and the SAI of Morocco is General Secretary of Jurisai.

Through the Forum, and now Jurisai, the Cour des Comptes helps build norms, like Intosai-P50, and professional standards relevant to jurisdictional activities, promotes the 7 essential advantages of SAIs exercising their jurisdictional functions, and contributes to their recognition and enhancement.

25% of all SAIs represented in Intosai, undertake jurisdictional activities, particularly in Europe, Africa and Latin America. It is attractive: recently, the SAIs of South Africa and Latvia have acquired jurisdictional powers. Jurisai is gathering these SAIs (actually 43 members) who want to explain and promote their jurisdictional mission.

Held during the Congress of Intosai in Sharm El-Sheikh from October 27 to 31, 2025, the first Extraordinary General Assembly of Jurisai welcomed the Intosai Congress' vote to amend its statutes, allowing Jurisai to join Intosai as a related entity.

This allows it to join Intosai as a full member. Each year, Jurisai will therefore be able to present its activity report to the Intosai Governing Board and, every three years, its triennial activity report to the Intosai Congress.
